Child Language Laboratory at the CUNY Graduate Center

By October 9, 2013Blog

The Child Language Lab is directed by Dr. Richard Schwartz. They are currently running a study that investigates the relationship between control of attention and language processing in visual, auditory, and dual-modality contexts and will be able to see participants at the CUNY location. They are very interested in aspects of cognitive control and executive function that relate to language processing in typical and language-disordered populations. The Child Language Lab sees children from 6-12 years of age. This particular study is focused on children ages 9-12. Any child in that age group with language-based learning difficulties (even if not a diagnosed “language impairment”) would be eligible to participate, or at least be screened for eligibility.
